Apps & Games content ratings on Softonic

Content ratings help you understand the type of content you might find in an app or game, so you can decide if they are suitable for you and your family.

What do the ratings actually tell me?

Content ratings describe the minimum age we feel the content is suitable for. It does not indicate that the app was specifically designed for that particular age, or if a certain level of skill is required to play the game or use the app.

Where can I find the content ratings?

You will find the content ratings on every app or game page.

Why are some apps or games unrated?

If an app or game does not have a rating, it means that it has not yet been rated, or it’s been rated and we’re working to update the page.

Rating Systems

Softonic uses the rating systems by PEGI and ESRB. The ratings you see may vary by country or region.

iTag is a freeware application that allows you to add title, description and keyword tags to your digital jpeg photos. The data you enter is added to the photo file itself using IPTC headers. Many useful applications can read and write to these fields, and iTag is especially powerful at editing a batch of photos all at once.

Geocoding your photos is also straight forward by drag and dropping Google Earth placemarks (*.kml, *.kmz). An even faster way is to simply copy a placemark to the clipboard, which iTag can detect. When geocoding, the data can optionally be saved as IPTC tags (FlickrFly style), to the EXIF fields, or both.

Photos geocoded with WWMX Location Stamper are also recognised and can be viewed in Google Earth. Using iTag, groups of geotagged photos can be viewed in Google Earth by generating a kmz file.

iTag is very nice tagger. You can tag several pictures at once just by selecting them. Most used keywords show up on a list where you can easily choose them. Don't forget so save after tagging.

One thing I HATE about iTag is that it expires every now and then. They want to be sure you are using the latest version. Well, that's nice, but if I quickly want to tag some photos and the program won't start because it has expired -> aggression!

Other thing is that on my machine iTag feels a bit heavy. I'm not saying it's a resource hog, but it feels clunky.

Still it's the best and easiest I have used. And I'm off to download the latest version. :-|

Pros
  • Simple and easy to use
  • IPTC tags
  • Google Earth placemarks supported
Cons
  • Clunky
  • Expires
